Note: We can take a few Kinders, depending on spots available.

Registration Information:

If you rehearse on Wednesdays - the first rehearsal is September 9, 2026

If you rehearse on Sundays -- the first rehearsal is September 13, 2026
If you primarily rehearse on Sundays and need to miss a rehearsal - you can do a makeup on any Wednesday.

If you primarily rehearse on Wednesdays and need to miss a rehearsal - you can do a makeup on any Sunday.

Fall 2026 rehearsals: September-early December 2026

Fall 2026 Performance dates: December 4, 5 & 6, 2026

Fall 2026 Tech Week: November 29-December 3, 2026

Age range of participants: 6-18 (1st grade to 12th grade)

Space is limited for ages 6-7. 

Note: we will allow a few 5-year-olds, but space is very limited (please email us).

 

Our shows are licensed through Music Theatre International, NY, NY. 

 

Rehearsals:

Rehearsal location: Hermosa Beach Community Theatre & classrooms in the main hallway.

Each student comes once a week. You can choose to rehearse on either Wednesdays --or-- Sundays for the semester.

(you can do makeups on the opposite rehearsal day if needed).

If you choose to rehearse on WEDNESDAYS, here is the schedule:

Wednesday rehearsal time frame: 2:15-5:00pm

November 4, 11, 18 (no rehearsal Wednesday November 25 due to Thanksgiving holiday break) *Wednesday students are encouraged to come to at least one Sunday rehearsal during the semester.

Tech week: Sunday November 29 - Thursday December 3, 2026 (all cast members attend tech week rehearsals) 

Performance dates: December 4, 5 & 6, 2026 (Each cast member is assigned two show times that weekend. No time requests allowed.)

1:00pm-4:00pm (for Sunday students who are 1st grade-4th grade)

1:00pm-5:00pm (for Sunday students who are 5th grade-12th grade)

Show days: each actor is assigned 2 show times during this weekend (no special time requests allowed): December 4, 5 & 6, 2026.

Rehearsal times: Wednesdays: 2:15pm to 5:00pm (all ages)

Students from all school districts can join us on Wednesdays --- or --- Sundays. 

 

Audition, casting and other information will be sent to the parents/guardians of enrolled students.  Auditions take place during the first few rehearsals. 

 

*Note* We have a Wednesday walking program for Hermosa Schools - (we walk students from View, Vista and Valley after the early bell)

HVS Wednesday walking program for Fall 2026. 

We walk students from Hermosa View, Vista and Valley schools to the HB Community Center.

If you are new for the spring semester, your walking spot is not confirmed until we notify you.

Please note that we do not walk on View, Vista or Valley minimum days (such as parent/teacher conferences, etc...). But we do have rehearsal beginning at 2:15pm.

NOTE: *Fall 2026 tuition does not include costume fee and tickets. 

(buy any amount of tickets you wish - no minimum required).

Costume fee is typically $70 and up, depending on role(s) and tickets are general seating $15 per person (no minimum amount required).

HOW TO REGISTER:

Payment must be made in full to secure your spot. No spot is held, until your tuition* is paid.

Before you pay, please take the following steps: 

Email: familytheatreinc@yahoo.com to let us know you would like to register for our fall production 2026 (title tba). 

Please specify which rehearsal day your child will attend. (Wednesdays -- or -- Sundays)

Include child's name, age, school, grade.

Returning students: If your child has been in our productions, including our Spring 2026 show, you may go ahead and pay for our fall show in full. (once Fall 2026 registration opens)

Returning students have priority. 

If you are new to Family Theatre, please wait to hear from us before you send your payment.

We do not pro-rate, but students are allowed to start late, if necessary. 

If you need to do a payment plan (pay in 2 or 3 installments) you may arrange to do partial payments, but it must be with the full, regular price. We cannot freeze prices. 

After registration payment is received, those who have paid the Mary Poppins Jr. tuition will be sent a welcome email with a waiver for you to fill out and other important information.

Family Theatre Inc. - coming up next:

Spring 2027 production. Title tba. Registration will begin in late Fall 2026.

Spring 2027 rehearsals: January - early May 2027.

Spring performance dates: April 30, May 1 & 2, 2027.

HVS Talent Show: date is June 4, 2027.

Summer 2027 Show Camps: 

Dates tba -- July & August 2027 (Each show camp is two weeks - titles tba).

Summer 2027 registration will begin in February of 2027.

 

REFUND POLICY:

Fall 2026 refund policy: Cancellations must be within 72 hours of purchase. 

Refunds or cancellations only allowed until September 1, 2026 and will include a $35 admin fee and card processing fees. 

You will receive a show credit for any future production if you cancel after September 1, 2026. 

Note: We do not prorate. If you start late, you can do makeups on the opposite day.
